GEORGESON and KATUIN Wedding
Evelyn Georgeson and Maurice Katuin, both
of New Lisbon, were united in marriage in
a ceremony performed by Rev. Sidney Jorgenson
at St. Stephen's Lutheran Church , Camp Douglas
at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 5, 1953.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
James Christensen, New Lisbon, and the groom
is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Katuin, also
of New Lisbon.
The church was decorated with bouquets of
red roses. Betty Kopecky sang "Have
Thine Own Way" and "Tell Me Why?
Mrs. Howard Jensen was the organist.
The bride wore a navy blue dress trimmed
with white braid, with stole, and an orchid
corsage. Her sister, Mrs. Aleta Durkopp,
Middleton, Wisconsin, was matron of honor.
She wore an aqua print gown with stole and
a corsage of white carnations. Allen J. Durkopp,
the bride's brother-in-law, was best man.
Raymond Katuin and Howard Jensen served as
ushers.
For the wedding, Mrs. Christensen wore a
flowered print dress, and Mrs. Katuin wore
a navy blue suit. Their corsages were of
white carnations.
A wedding dinner was served at the home of
the groom's parents for the wedding party
and guests. A reception was held later at
the Camp Douglas Community Hall with about
150 guests present. Serving were Gladys Billings,
Betty Kopecky and Mrs. Howard Jensen. The
bridal couple received many lovely gifts.
Pastor Sidney Jorgenson and Pastor David
Backstrom conducted devotions at the reception
and Pastor Jorgenson sang " Bless this
House".
Mr. Katuin is employed as a mechanic at White's
Motor Sales in New Lisbon and the bride is
an assistant cashier at the New Lisbon State
Bank.
