Wedding---------PURVIS----CATTLE
A pretty home wedding took place Thursday
forenoon, January 4th, 1917, at the home
of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas M. Purvis in the township
of Lemonweir, when their daughter, Alice
Eunice was united in marriage to Lewis Herbert
Cattle of Mauston, in the presence of immediate
relatives and friends, the Rev. G. H. Kershaw
officiating.
The bride wore a gown of old rose georgette
crepe over white silk net with silver trimmings,
and carried a bouquet of lilies of the valley.
Her maid of honor, Miss Mary E. Cattle, sister
of the groom, wore a gown of pink batiste.
A brother of the bride, Leslie J. Purvis
acted as best man, and Miss Madge Halliday
played the wedding march. The bride and groom
will be at home to their many friends after
March 1st, at New Lisbon, Wisconsin.
