HOLMEN, Wis. — Joni Marie Hojnacki, 51, of Holmen died suddenly at University Hospital in Madison, Wis., on Monday, Aug. 15, 2005.
She was born in Milwaukee on Nov. 17, 1953, to Arthur and Josephine (Nuttall) Martin. Along with her husband, Michael, she was owner and team coordinator for a drag racing team "The Interceptor Team."
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Faith (Ben) Bays who resides in Alaska, where Ben is serving in the Army; three sons, Justin (Wayan) Glick of Madison, Wis., Thad (Abby) Glick, who is serving in Iraq, and Michael Glick of Colorado; two brothers, Robert (Kathy) Martin of Holmen and William (Peter VanEyck) Martin of Wauwatosa, Wis.; grandchildren, Kaden Glick, Kolton Glick, Zachary Gordon, Chloe Glick and Tariq Warthman; a stepson, Nicholas Hojnacki of Olivet, Mich., and several nieces and nephews.
Joni truely enjoyed traveling with her husband throughout the country in their motorhome.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at First Evangelical Free Church, 1950 Hwy. 35, Onalaska, Wis. The Rev. David Holt will officiate. Family and friends may call at Dickinson Family Funeral Home, 515 McHugh Road, Holmen, from 4 to 7 p.m. today and again at the church on Friday from 2 p.m. until time of services.
