A pretty home wedding took place Thursday forenoon, January 4th, 1917, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas M. Purvis in the township of Lemonweir, when their daughter, Alice Eunice was united in marriage to Lewis Herbert Cattle of Mauston, in the presence of immediate relatives and friends, the Rev. G. H. Kershaw officiating.

The bride wore a gown of old rose georgette crepe over white silk net with silver trimmings, and carried a bouquet of lilies of the valley. Her maid of honor, Miss Mary E. Cattle, sister of the groom, wore a gown of pink batiste.

A brother of the bride, Leslie J. Purvis acted as best man, and Miss Madge Halliday played the wedding march. The bride and groom will be at home to their many friends after March 1st, at New Lisbon, Wisconsin.
