REUNION AT S. G. TAYLOR’S

Family Reunited at Spring Brook Farm Last Sunday

A family reunion of the Cattle brothers and sisters and their families was given by Mr. and Mrs. S. G. Taylor at Spring Brook Farm, Mauston. Wisconsin, on August 19th, 1917.

There were twenty -eight present:  Messrs. and Mesdames H. B. Tuttle, of Mather, Wisconsin; George Cattle and two daughters,  Mary Ellen, and Georgia, of Mauston; Ed Cattle, two daughters, Iris and Helen of Tomah ; Charles M. Cattle, Stewartville, Minn.; Oscar Pettis, daughter Genevieve and little son, Melvin, of Camp Douglas; and George Forrand and two sons, Claude and George of Grand Rapids.

Words of regret were received from Washington, Nebraska, Missouri, North and South Dakota, Minnesota, New Lisbon, Wis. and other relatives.

Only one of the remaining brothers and sisters, Charlotte, of Seattle, Washington, was not present.

This was the first time since 1889 that so many of the brothers and sisters had been together and all having had such an enjoyable time, it was suggested that this become an annual affair.

This occasion was especially enjoyed by Mr. Ed. Cattle as it was his birthday.

At twelve o’clock tables were spread for the twenty-eight and a most sumptuous dinner was served.

The afternoon was spent in visiting, etc. Then at 5 o’clock delicious refreshments were again served, after which the different families began preparing to depart, all manifesting their most hearty appreciation to Mr. and Mrs. Taylor for such generous hospitality; and one and all expressed themselves as having enjoyed a time long to be remembered.
